Before arriving at a hotel in Korea, confirm when you can enter the room, what you can do with your bags and how you will get in if travel runs late. These are different arrangements. A luggage-storage service does not give early room access, and a late-night check-in method may differ from the staffed reception hours.
Use this guide once you have a particular property and reservation in mind. For the journey into Seoul, see our separate Incheon Airport transport guide.

Put three times beside your reservation
| Time | What it means for your plan |
| Arrival in Korea | Your flight or other transport's arrival, before the remaining arrival tasks. |
| Expected arrival at the property | Your realistic arrival at the correct hotel entrance. |
| Confirmed room or check-in access | The arrangement the property has agreed for your reservation. |
Keep the date beside each time, particularly if you may reach the hotel after midnight. Ask the property which reservation dates cover that arrival and how it wants you to report a delay. A flight landing time alone is not an accurate estimate of when you will stand at reception.
1. Separate room access from dropping off a bag
LOTTE HOTEL WORLD's official FAQ lists check-in at 15:00 and check-out at 11:00, and says its concierge can help with luggage on the day of the stay. Its early check-in and late check-out arrangements involve additional charges and an enquiry. These are that property's published details, not national hotel rules.
LOTTE HOTEL BUSAN's FAQ separately describes luggage storage before check-in and after check-out at its first-floor concierge. The detail to take from these examples is the need to check your own property's process: where to go, what is accepted and when to return.
If you need guaranteed room access on arrival, ask specifically about that requirement before paying for an arrangement. If you only need to leave bags, say how many you have and when you expect to collect them. Ask about any charge, size restriction or item restriction rather than treating “storage available” as the complete answer.
2. Confirm the late-arrival method
A staffed desk and an automated check-in option can have different hours. For example, MOOGM's official Euljiro information lists a front desk from 08:00 to 22:00 and a 24-hour self-check-in kiosk on the first floor. The site's late-arrival FAQ directs guests to its kiosk. This is a property-specific example, not a guarantee of overnight reception or a kiosk at another hotel.
Ask your accommodation how you will identify the correct entrance, complete check-in and obtain help if the normal process fails. Confirm how it wants to be contacted if your arrival changes. Keep the answer with your booking rather than relying on an expectation formed from another stay.

3. Send one clear arrival question
A concise message gives the property enough context to answer the practical issue. Adapt this template for the hotel's official contact channel:
My reservation is for [stay dates], under [booking name/reference]. I expect to reach the property at [local date and time]. Please confirm the check-in arrangement for that arrival. If I arrive before room access, can you store [number/type of bags] until [collection time], and are there any charges or restrictions? Please also tell me how to report a travel delay.
For an arrival after midnight, add the actual flight arrival date and ask the property to confirm the reservation night needed. If the booking was made through an agent or platform, check which party handles any date or booking changes. A request sent to the hotel is not, by itself, confirmation that the reservation has changed.
4. Save the final approach
- The property's exact name and address, including the Korean version if supplied.
- The correct branch and entrance, especially where similar names appear nearby.
- The arrival instructions and a working official contact method.
- Your booking confirmation and any specific reply about bags or late access.
- The onward route if you are leaving bags and returning later.
Save the useful details before you travel so they remain accessible when you need them. Keep access codes private. If the instructions are unclear, resolve the question with the property before reaching a locked entrance with luggage.
5. Plan collection before the final departure
When leaving bags after check-out, ask where collection takes place and the final retrieval time. Allow room for the return journey, collection and your departure connection. If plans change, contact the storage provider or property using the method it gave you.
For the rest of your arrival preparation, use our South Korea first-trip checklist. Keep this hotel's confirmed arrangements in your own trip note; examples in a guide cannot replace the terms of your reservation.
